Lake Manyara is also known for more than 400 bird species, lush vegetation and a large alkaline lake, which is the seasonal breeding ground for large colonies of flamingos. Due to its diversity of habitats, this park is a home to variety of wildlife that includes different types of mammals, reptiles and birds. Today, after breakfast at the hotel, you will check out from your lodge, after we will take you to Tarangire National Park. This park is considered as one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Not only because there are thousands of animals roaming around the park, but also because they are not disturbed by the presence of vehicles and people. Another big attraction of the park, besides the huge baobabs, are huge tree climbing pythons in acacia woodlands. Tarangire is also home to buffaloes, zebras and variety of birds, but also quite scarce orix . Leopards are rarely seen in daylight, since they tend to sleep in the trees throughout the day. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape of savannah, decorated by the spectacularly massive baobab trees, but also swamplands and wooded areas.
